This spiced up smoothie is a perfect quick pick-me-up on a summer morning. You can make it as thick or watery as you want. I always think the perfect balance adds in a cup of orange juice to make it the ideal thickness. Another way to make it smoother is to pour it over ice rather than adding it whilst blending. (I personally do it that way as it keeps the smoothie nice and cold.)
The allspice and ginger give this smoothie a bit of a different kick. Both are used commonly in Caribbean cooking, and the turmeric adds an extra health boost. Enjoy this smoothie in your garden watching the morning sun.
