Rooftop Brewing is resurrecting a Maritime Pacific tradition
Earlier this spring, Rooftop Brewing assumed operations at Maritime Pacific’s brewery and Jolly Roger Taproom. It was described as a happy and amicable arrangement. Like the two companies were joining forces. We reported that news in March. Then, not long after that, the Jolly Roger Taproom hosted a retirement party for George and Jane, who founded Maritime Pacific Brewing more than three decades ago. (Picture above: the Maritime Pacific Brew Crew circa 2015.)
Last year, Rooftop Brewing’s original location in Seattle was heavily damaged by fire. As the brewery looked for a new home, the opportunity to assume operations at Maritime Pacific presented itself. It was a fortuitous situation for both businesses.

Parties are part of the tradition at the Jolly Roger
The Jolly Roger Taproom has a tradition of hosting parties. Over the years it has seen its share of celebrations. Now it is time to add one more to that long list. Rooftop Brewing has its own tradition: an annual block party. This year’s event will celebrate the newest chapter in the Jolly Roger Taproom’s long and delicious story. Along with a lot of beer, the block party will include barbecue, live music, friends, family, and community. Pirate outfits, pirate jokes, and lots of “Arghing!” are encouraged but not required. Just come ready to have some fun.
