When news broke of Cigar City Brewing’s upcoming move to Ybor City, the question loomed over just where the brewery would move. That news later broke that Cigar City Brewing would come to occupy the building that is now home to Cigar City Cider and Mead (CCCM).
When the former owner of Cigar City Brewing, Joey Redner, sold Cigar City Brewing, Cigar City Cider and Mead remained an independent company, and remained in their Ybor City Tasting Room.
That Tasting Room, located at 1812 N. 15th Street, was also the first home to Tampa Bay Brewing Company as they opened a brewpub in Tampa outside of their BrewShack homebrew store and CCCM would begin to occupy the space in 2014.
This historic building will now come full circle as the home of Cigar City Brewing moves to Tampa’s largest historic cigar-making area, and Cigar City Cider and Mead will see some changes, as outlined in their new post.

Hey Cider Fam… this is one of the hardest posts we’ve ever had to write.
After an incredible journey filled with laughter, experiments, and unforgettable memories with all of you, Cigar City Cider & Meads last day of tap room service will be December 21.
But this isn’t goodbye for the cider and mead.
We’re excited to share that Cigar City Brewery will be opening their doors here in March — and they’ll continue to offer small-batch CCCM ciders and meads crafted with the same passion and creativity you’ve always loved. Our story, our flavors, and our spirit will live on.
This taproom has never just been a taproom — it’s been a home. A community. A wild, beautiful ride built on your support, your friendships, and your love for cider & mead.
