The UK’s best bakeries have been picked out by readers of The Good Food Guide.
Following the launch of the guide’s first list of Britain’s Best Bakeries in March 2025, the team has published further recommendations from readers. There’s a map of all the best bakeries at www.thegoodfoodguide.co.uk and the North East has three entries so far – PureKnead’s Whitley Bay shop, plus Northern Rye and FAB Bakery in Newcastle. You can recommend bakeries to shine the spotlight on using the online form and we expect to see more flagged up on the map soon.
