These lovely bracelets are a great, easy and engaging craft activity. Whether at home in the garden, at the park or beach – it adds that extra bit of fun searching for natural materials to use. These bracelets also make lovely keepsakes for friends.
What you will need:
Here’s how to make your nature bracelets:
- Cut out the base off the bracelet from thick card or cardboard. It can be any shape, but why not make it fun – eg sun, wave, star or butterfly. Add some colour and design with paint, felt tips, coloured pencils or crayons.
- Measure a strip of card, felt or cord long enough to wrap around the wrist and be able to fasten.
- Glue the cardboard cutout onto the bracelet.
- Now it’s time to collect the natural materials – flowers, petals, seed heads, small shells! Remember, it’s crucial to gather with care for nature – make sure to leave lots of flowers for the bees and pollinators.
- Stick them directly to the cardboard with natural glue.
- Tadaa!

Tip: Make your own bracelet cord with a braiding wheel and some wool. A fun and creative crafting product for both girls and boys to make friendship bracelets, laces, headbands, zip pulls… the possibilities are endless!
Tip: A flower press is a lovely way to preserve the vibrant colours and intricate details of flowers, which can be used in any number of craft projects.
