Here are 12 of My Favorite Holiday Recipes
What’s a better way to start off this post than with my recipe for enriched sweet dough – incredibly versatile dough, used for breakfast pastries, to make challah, or even cinnamon rolls, every kitchen needs this basic enriched sweet dough recipe!

Now, here is a suggested recipe for using that enriched sweet dough you just learned about – let’s make a Swedish Tea Ring to share – absolutely beautiful and delicious, you can’t go wrong serving this on your holiday breakfast table.

Wow! This is a two-for recipe. Learn to make a quick puff pastry, another kitchen staple – you will NEVER buy puff pastry again because this is so buttery delicious. Then, use that pastry to make an unforgettably delicious apple strudel, an awesome treat all fall and winter long.

Another two-for!! Boy, am I giving you all some value here. You can make the naan flatbread alone or pair it with this incredibly tasty apple-cranberry chutney for a crowd-pleasing appetizer. And, it’s so festive since the colors are red, green and white. Cheers to the holidays!

These are such wonderful cookies and can be made ahead of time and stored for those unexpected guests over the holidays – Cranberry-Almond Biscotti. Add 1 T of orange zest, and you will amp-up the holiday vibes!

Okay, who does not love hot from the oven cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning?! I bake these every year for my family while the gifts are being unpacked, the house is filled with the smell of warm butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Then, voila! Warm cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing for a big crowd-pleasing win.

What would the holidays be without the flavors of garlic & rosemary in the starring roll? Let’s bake up some savory dinner rolls to serve with your choice of main course – these are so delicious, they risk stealing the show!!

Hands down, my absolute favorite pancake recipe, these fluffy and flavorful pancakes do not disappoint. They are so delicious and thick. You can add-in whatever fruit, nuts, etc you like, or even plain, they are amazing. Don’t forget some special toppings!

Another traditional flavor of the holidays – Cranberry-Orange-Walnut! With my easy to follow instructions, you will find this super easy to make this delicious bread. It serves well on your breakfast or your dinner table. Mix it the day before, allow to chill in the refrigerator overnight and bake the day you serve it – bonus, if you leave it overnight, you are rewarded with enhanced flavors.

These are so simple, no electric mixer required! Just stir together, shape and bake. How easy? And, each batch makes 30 cookies – Can you say neighborly gift boxes of cookies!?

Can you believe you can have your Bread AND Chocolate together?! These are two of my favorite things…as the song goes. Try this bread with added cranberries or my favorite, cherries. OMG – you will want to make this over and over. Especially delightful with cream cheese for breakfast, or served as a dessert.

For my 12th recipe – Chocolate Twist or sometimes called, Babka. This is a super-favorite of my customers. This is a challah bread filled with Nutella and dark choclate pieces. Is your mouth watering? It will be once you take one bite of this incredible treat.

Happy Holiday Baking, my Friends!
If you are like me, the holidays are always a baking frenzy. Don’t forget to take time out for yourself. Take a walk, call a friend, or do something just for YOU! Holidays can be stressful, it’s important to find time to disconnect and find your center. Ask yourself, what would I do if I had nothing on my schedule today? Whatever that thing is, find some time to invest in it. You deserve it.
I wish you the happiest of days now as we celebrate, tomorrow, and beyond into the new year. Happy baking, my friends. With love and admiration for you, my readers!
