We often forget the chain of human experience that links a mouse click to a package on our doorstep. Seldom do we consider the hands that shaped each product, or the people who pick, pack, load, and deliver our orders.
This year we want to share a holiday gift guide with soul — a small tribute to our American cohort of artisans and manufacturers. None of these gifts crossed an ocean, survived a port delay or required a harmonized tariff code before entering our warehouse. Most were made by hand; others grew from years of research and development. All of them carry a human face, a name, and a life as rich and complicated as our own.
And these relationships aren’t always convenient. Because they are beholden to the craft — not shareholders — they move at the pace of people, not machines. Lead times are longer. Answers aren’t automated. Human errors are met with human fixes. But it’s a fair and welcome trade for the community we share with them, and now with you.
So before we start weeping in solidarity with our fellow Americans, here’s our 2025 holiday gift guide.
