Next time you have friends or family over, put out a colorful and delicious Greek Mezze spread for your guests. An impressive Mediterranean platter is easy to make with a combination of homemade and store-bought ingredients.
There’s no end to the variety of dishes you can include, so be creative and serve up your family’s favorites. With a Greek Mezze platter, you can offer something for everyone.
Why I love Greek Mezze Platters
I love having amazing food prepared for my friends and family when they come over. But I don’t like being stuck in the kitchen while the party goes on without me. While I can always count on a friend or two to help in the kitchen (or at least hang out and sip a glass of wine while I prep:) I like to do anything I can in advance.

A Mezze Platter is perfect for easy entertaining. All the food can be prepped and beautifully plated before guests arrive and then you can mingle and eat at your leisure. A Mezze Spread is especially nice when the weather is mild and we can spread outside to enjoy a spring or summer evening.
Simply put a stack of plates, napkins, and silverware on the table and allow guests to fix small plates throughout the evening. No need to fuss around in the kitchen, so you are free to enjoy time with friends and family.
How to Put Together an Awesome Spread
When you are choosing items to include, go for contrasts in color, texture, and flavor.

COLOR: Add the bright colors of fresh fruits and vegetables to balance the pale colors of crackers, breads, and dips. A sprinkling of fresh herbs or scattering of dried fruit always adds visual interest, too!
TEXTURE: Offer items that are crisp (veggies) and creamy (hummus, soft cheese), crunchy (crostini, nuts) and tender (roasted vegetables, meats) for variety.
FLAVOR: Include all the flavor profiles in your spread- salty, sweet, bitter, sour, umami. Briny olives, sweet red peppers, lemon drizzled on the salad or hummus, and roasted meat or savory cheeses.
Greek Mezze Platter: Endless Variety
Here’s a Mezze Platter I put together last week for friends visiting from out of town. I like to use a few ready-made items to save time, like the falafel and Tzatziki sauce.

- Oven Baked Falafel
- Crudité (cucumbers, carrots, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers)
- Tzatziki Sauce
- Baked Feta with Roasted Peppers and Olives (or try this similar chèvre recipe)
- Lemon Roasted Cauliflower
- Seasoned Chicken Skewers
- Fresh Fruit
- Cheese
- Greek Salad (or one of these delicious salads)
No matter what you put on your Greek Mezze Platter, your guests are sure to enjoy the spread and the time they get to spend with you!
