Originally based off the sauce from budgetbytes’ Dragon Noodles, I’ve been tinkering with the proportions as of late, and finally got it (and it’s easy to remember too).
2 tbsp smooth peanut butter (or other nut butter)
3 tbsp brown sugar
4 tbsp soy sauce (use temari or low sodium soy sauce depending on your needs)
+dashes of an other condiments you like (Sriracha sauce, sesame oil)
The order I add them in is: brown sugar, peanut butter, and soy sauce. You can use the same tablespoon measure with as little contamination as possible (especially rinsing the spoon after the sugar. You can even stir them together with the tablespoon. Less dishes to do!
The sauce can be used on anything, but I usually use it as a sauce for instant ramen noodles. Prepared with bell peppers and pre-cooked chicken (or egg), it’s a filling and reasonably balanced meal.
