My Burger journey that began in 2013 is taking a huge turn. I’m excited to tell you that my wife and I are relocating to the Tampa metro area, although Minnesota will always be home.
I hope my burger blog has provided value to you over the years and given you some good information about each burger or restaurant I’ve talked about. I hope I’ve gotten more right than wrong.
Highlights for me have been to meet @chefharcey, who created the incredible “Perfect Burger” at Victory 44, that triggered the Burger passion in me, and also to meet @stephaniemarch, who created the Burger Bracket in MSP Magazine’s August 2013 edition that the Perfect Burger won, causing me to try it for the first time.
#TCBurgerNight began in 2018 with @phatphood & @shawnsrodgers. I hope we did something unique, visiting 100 different restaurants, giving our own perspectives on every burger.
Thank you to my great friend, @burgeraweek, for joining me on so, so many weekly burger visits.
Thank you to one of my best friends @jaydelahunt, for sitting across from me at so many restaurants as well.
Thank you to all of the amazing chefs, cooks, owners, managers, servers and everyone else who has been so friendly and accommodating to me.
Thank you to all of my foodie family. I’ve met a lot of you and chatted with a lot more. I’ve always felt that we are all in this together to help out our restaurant community.
Finally, thank you to my wife, Theresa (Mrs. Burger), for putting up with so much burger talk over the years and being ok with me eating all things burgers, all of the time.
We will be leaving soon with our three cats to begin our next adventure. I would love to have you join me as I hit the Florida Burger scene with renewed excitement. I wish I had 6 more months here to revisit and resupport all of my favorite restaurants and the places that have been so good to me.
If I develop a fraction of the wonderful relationships in the Florida restaurant community that I have here, I’ll be a very lucky man.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Roger
