National Chicken Finger Day is Sunday, July 27th 2025

July 27th marks National Chicken Finger Day, a time to pay tribute to one of America’s ultimate comfort foods: the humble chicken finger. Though similar snacks have been around since the late 1970s, the official celebration was first created in 2010 by Raising Cane’s. What began as a tongue-in-cheek holiday quickly became an anticipated annual event, especially among fans of breaded chicken strips.

The holiday’s founder, Todd Graves, co-founded Raising Cane’s (along with Craig Silvey) in Baton Rouge in 1996. Since launching National Chicken Finger Day in 2010, the brand has celebrated the occasion with giveaways, community events, and promotional campaigns that showcase their dedication to this simple yet addictive food.

Who is Celebrating National Chicken Finger Day?

Raising Cane’s may have founded National Chicken Finger Day, but they’re far from the only ones celebrating it. Chains like Zaxby’s, Slim Chickens, Guthrie’s, and even Popeyes and KFC have used the holiday as an excuse to highlight their spin on chicken strips, whether through limited-time deals, social media stunts, or new sauce launches.

It’s a day where any brand slinging tenders can join the party, and brag a little about their breading technique while they’re at it. As new boneless chicken deals appear, I will update this post but you already know how I do it!
