I met Thomas Ward way back during Orlando’s early food truck boom. He was slinging killer sandwiches out of the Treehouse Truck before most folks even knew what a food truck was. After selling the truck and laying low for a bit, he came back with something bigger—Pig Floyd’s Urban Barbakoa, and it’s been game over ever since.
Pig Floyd’s isn’t your run-of-the-mill BBQ joint. It’s Florida barbecue with a multicultural twist—Latin roots, Asian sauces, and Southern technique—all rolled into a menu that doesn’t hold back.

Must-Eats at Pig Floyd’s
Here’s what we go for every time:

- Plain Jane Sliced Brisket Sandwich – Oakwood smoked brisket on a sweet roll, sauced your way. No fluff, just fire.
- Jasmine Rice & Cuban Black Beans – An ode to Thomas’ heritage and a perfect BBQ side.

- Mills 50 Cheesesteak – Brisket, pimento cheese, grilled onions, and red peppers. It’s not Philly, it’s Orlando, and it’s damn good.

- Butter Chicken Taco – Grilled chicken thighs drenched in tikka masala with jasmine rice, pepitas, Greek yogurt, jalapeño, and cilantro. Marcela won’t let me leave without ordering this.

- Shrimp & Sausage Taco – Surf and turf gets a Latin remix: shrimp, chorizo, cilantro sauce, corn, and pickled onions. A sleeper hit.

- Oakwood Smoked Ribs – Get the half rack. Then, get mad that you didn’t order the whole rack.

- Yuca Frita with Fancy Sauce – Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Dip it. Repeat.

- Mexican Street Corn – Slathered in chili-lime butter, cilantro aioli, cotija, and chives. It’s one of the best versions anywhere.
Every so often, they’ll drop a chili or a burger special—don’t be dumb, order it if you see it. I’ve said it before, and I’ll keep saying it: Pig Floyd’s has the best ribs in Orlando. Full stop.
If you still have room, and if it hasn’t sold out yet, grab Mama Floyd’s Banana Pudding. It’s the sleeper knockout on the menu.
Pig Floyd Delivers (No, Really)

I keep a close eye on their Instagram, especially when they post about South Florida delivery runs. That’s a three-and-a-half-hour haul from Orlando, but if you’ve had their ribs, you know it’s worth every minute.
Last time, they sweetened the deal with cookies from Gideon’s Bakehouse as well. That kind of combination doesn’t just appear on your doorstep every day.
