It’s time to get serious about festive season drinking.
With just one week to go until Christmas, now is the time to bring out the good stuff. Nothing but net.
Which begs the question – what are you going to drink this Christmas?
Here at Graham HQ, Christmas is a multi-day, mult-event fiesta that spans dinners, lunches, linners etc. Like every year, there is just one constant in the drinking diet – several bottles of the Primo Joseph Sparkling Red.
There’s a 2023 disgorgement bottle floating around, along with 2024 and 2025, so I have a bit of a vertical to work through this year, and it will be a joy to dive into what is one of Australia’s most complex sparkling wines.
What about you? What are you going to drink this Christmas?
Beyond bubbles, this Christmas may feature some ’04 La Rioja Alta 904 Gran Reserva, ’10 Tyrrell’s Johnno’s Semillon (in the Riesling bottle), a few ’22 Heymann-Lowenstein GGs and my annual checking on the 2017 Raymond Lafon Sauternes, the obligatory magnum of Bollinger and more than one Bentspoke Sprocket (if my Secret Santa got my memo).
What about you?
