Burial Beer Cordial Saison Ale – Best Beer Blog

Cordial is a 4.5% Saison Ale from Burial Beer in Asheville, North Carolina. (www.burialbeer.com) This Saison is warm fermented. It uses Riverbend Rye, Golden Wheat, and German Barley. It also uses Saaz, Grunest, and Amarillo hops. I purchased this from Southern Spirits (www.southernspirits.com). This Saison pours a slightly darker yellow with a semi-quick fading two-finger white head. The aroma is light stone fruit, pear, Belgiany, and light pepper. The flavor is Earthy, stone fruit, pear, peppery, and Belgiany. This has a light body as well as mouthfeel. This beer finishes with a slight bitter stone fruit and pear. The aftertaste is slightly fruity and Belgiany, but that lingers briefly. This is good and not heavy on the ABV. I give Cordial an A. So if you see this, then you need to drink this beer. It is a great saison ale that is not overly heavy and has good flavors. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!
