About the event:
Join us for an honest and enlightening conversation about the complexities, challenges, and freedom of living outside traditional gender norms. This in-depth conversation will explore identity, transitions, language, and visibility.

Whether you’re questioning, learning, or just curious, this is a space to deepen understanding and celebrate the richness of gender identities.
This event is open to the public, and everyone is welcome.
The registration fee is $10 at the door or in advance.
We are meeting at Flying Pig Improv’s new location at 2320 E. Douglas Ave. at Grove, 6 to 8 PM.

Abi Boatman has been a passionate advocate for both queer equality and local civic engagement in Wichita for nearly 15 years. In that time, she has dedicated herself to her community in many forums, including the Wichita Public Library Board, the Proud of Wichita Chamber of Commerce, and her District Advisory Board, among others.
Abi credits her own transition and a desire to improve that experience for others as the catalyst for her advocacy work, which began with The Face of Trans, a project focused on highlighting trans people as multifaceted individuals.

Finn Lanning (he/him) is a trans man, educator, and nonprofit leader dedicated to building joyful, empowering spaces for queer youth. He is the Executive Director of Camp Sunflower, a Kansas-based organization that provides year-round programming for queer young people across the state.
A former classroom teacher and curriculum designer, Finn brings years of experience in youth development, education, and advocacy to his work. Whether in the classroom or at camp, he is committed to helping young people thrive outside traditional gender norms – and to building communities where authenticity and self-expression are not just accepted, but celebrated.

Kelsey Terra, a Wichita native, is an artist without boundaries. She is a musician, actress, writer, painter, plumber, and disabilities advocate. She fits into a box about as well as a river does. Kelsey understands that to live on earth is to live in duality. Masculinity and femininity, hot and cold, left and right, gay and straight. She doesn’t pick sides. Instead, she embodies the best traits of every spectrum with the goal of unifying the ever-dividing world.
