Sweden is represented at Eurovision 2025 by the Finnish group KAJ, a music and comedy band composed of Kevin Holmström, Jakob Norrgård and Axel Åhman. “Bara Bada Bastu,” is the first song in Swedish to represent Sweden at the festival since 1998.
The song, which celebrates Finnish sauna culture, has been praised for its humor and originality, and has reached number one on Spotify’s viral charts in Sweden and Finland.
“Bara Bada Bastu” received more than 4 million votes at Melodifestivalen, beating the previous record set by Loreen in 2023 . In addition, the group has had to modify part of the original lyrics to comply with Eurovision rules, replacing expressions considered inappropriate with acceptable alternatives.
