Hello readers! It’s time for a Sunday Post. I accidently took a break from posting this week because of unforseen circumstances, but I’m back!
The Sunday Post was created by The Caffeinated Reader. In The Sunday Post, you share news each week with your audience. This can be personal, book news, blog news, or anything else you want. Click the creator’s name for more details!
Life Update|

A giant storm swept through on Wednesday that knocked this tree down into our neighbor’s yard. We still don’t know if this tree is ours or theirs, but it’s still laying outside at the moment.
I got a notification on my phone of a tornado warning and not 30 seconds later the power was out. I heard this tree fall and I thought I was done for. But the wind came and went and the house was still in one piece.
We were honestly so lucky and so was everyone on our block. We did lose power for around 45 hours. Because of this, I unintentionally took a break from posting on here. I planned a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday post, but I wasn’t able to write them.
After the power went out, I walked out to the street and searched for anyone injured and everyone was fine. No one had any severe damage, so we just cleared the road of trees and spoke to the neighbors. It really brought the whole neighborhood together, weirdly.
Two years ago nearly to the day, we had a very big storm like this that knocked the power out for 60 hours. This time, it wasn’t quite as hot and I had ice the whole time. It was very hot still, but it was not as bad as that last time.
The one thing I worry about the most in this heat is the dogs. I took turns rubbing a cold pack on them because they were panting so hard. My mom’s dog is a shih poo, so he also has thick, curly black hair.
Nearly everyone in the neighborhood, including myself, have a well on our properties. This means we also have no water while the power is out.
I had a missing assignment for my college work, but I was able to make it up Friday when the power came back on, and I only have one thing left to do for today.
I think what happened was a tornado, but I haven’t seen any news sources say whether it was or wasn’t one. News is slow where I’m from. Two years ago, what came through was called a derecho, which is a widespread wind storm with winds up to 80 miles per hour.

Monday – Down the TBR Hole
Upcoming This Week|
At this moment, I am planning a post about TBR Vets on Saturday, and a tag post on Thursday.
📚 What I’m Reading|
I am currently not reading anything at the moment.
📺 What I’ve Watched|
This week, I started a show called Going Seventeen. This show follows a kpop group named Seventeen. This is a group I have avoided for a long time because the sheer size of the group, but I really loved their new song Thunder and decided to give more of their music a try.
I have always liked Hot and Left and Right by them, but other than that, I didn’t pay much attention.
They are currently in the military stage of their career, and so two of them are gone right now, four more have to enlist in 2025, and four of them are exempt.
I just love their dynamic on their show. They are really funny. It’s hard to keep up with THIRTEEN people all at once, but I am slowly getting used to it.
🎧 What I’m Listening To|
Hoshi and Woozi’s (of Seventeen) song 96ers has been on repeat this week along with THE8’s (also of Seventeen) solo song I shared last week called Orbit.
Happy blogging and bookish adventures! 📚🦒✨
