Salsa verde turkey meatballs | Homesick Texan


Meatballs have been on my mind. A few weeks ago, a friend mentioned he had a new Italian meatball recipe that he wanted to cook with me. He was curious how to transform the dish into something more Texan.

While my friend and I haven’t cooked together yet, his request has stuck with me. Without knowing his recipe, I’m not sure how to adapt his particular dish. That said, I had been down this path before with another Italian meatball recipe.

Meatballs are traditionally prepared by taking ground meat, spices, herbs, and aromatics . . .
