Now this is a BIG one! 420m², 4 bedrooms, a pool and some really great separation between the different areas of the home.
I love how spread out this floor plan is. The main bedroom gets its own wing on one side of the house with a huge walk in robe and ensuite, while Bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 are all over on the other side. Bed 4 also has its own ensuite, which would be great for guests or an older child.
The kitchen and living area sit right in the middle and open straight out to that enormous alfresco and pool. I really like that connection between inside and outside, especially on an acreage home where you hopefully have a beautiful outlook too.
The kitchen is a good size with a walk in pantry behind it and I like having the laundry tucked away nearby.
The dining area though? I think I’d want it bigger.
For a house this size, and especially with such a huge kitchen, living and outdoor entertaining area, the dining space feels a little small to me. I think I’d be looking at how I could steal some space somewhere to make that feel more generous.
But that study! At around 5m x 4m it’s a proper home office, not just a desk squeezed into a hallway. I LOVE that. There’s also the separate media room over near the kids’ bedrooms, which gives them somewhere else to hang out without needing another huge living room.
I also really like the amount of glazing throughout this plan. There are lots of opportunities for natural light and views, although as always I’d want to know the orientation of the block before locking any of that in.
Overall, I think this would be a beautiful acreage home. It’s big, but the separate wings help break it up and I really like having the main bedroom well away from the other bedrooms.
Would I make the dining bigger? Yep. But there’s a lot I like about this one!
