Bethel NY – Woodstock 2024 – Pink Hat Gypsy

When planning a visit to Woodstock to see the historic location where 3 days of peace, love & rock and roll made history, it’s important to know your not going to Woodstock New York, instead you need to head to Bethel New York.

We made our visit in August, the weather was sunny and cool.    Cost to the grounds is free as is parking.   The grounds are gorgeous rolling green hills, some artwork and a chance to pose at the site where it all happened.

If you want to take the experience to the next step, consider purchasing a ticket to the museum, there you will find a treasure of memorabilia, history and stories from those who attended.   I found it to be well worth the price of admission, we spent about 5 hours wandering around, reading all the articles and watching the videos.

There are additional small tours that take you around the grounds, we chose a small tour on a golf cart with a guide who had been at Woodstock for the concert.   We went around the grounds, backstage to the new stage area, and through the woods to see some history that had been left by attendees.

They are open spring through fall and I would definitely recommend purchasing tickets in advance, especially if you plan to be there on a weekend or another busy time.   They still have regular concerts and you can purchase tickets online.     There are also many classes offered.   Camping is available onsite for a fee as well.

It was a great visit, well worth the visit and price.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
