Ride along in this fully-illustrated graphic novel with three top secret agent gnomes in their flowerpot car as each fun and riveting scene rolls out like a movie!

Liv Lorkin is a multi-talented creator, packing and delivering so much goodness in her first Gnoming About title. In Tree Mail Adventure, the gnome friends, Daisy, Lucky and Rocky, are set on an exciting (and maybe even slightly dangerous) mission to restore the tree root postcard mailing system, as well as uncover the disappearance mystery of their gnome comrade, Float. If this suspense wasn’t enticing enough, Liv engages readers further with her adorably friendly, pencil-quality black and white illustrations, her nods to fascinating (and practical) science explorations, the presenting of the power of communication, additions of almost 100 Australian towns and cities, and the highlighting of the importance of ingenuity, emotional strength, kindness, and bravery.

Through the multi-disciplinary inclusions, and varied visual and literary formats, the spurts of magic and humour add another level of engagement to get readers thinking, talking, and of course, giggling all the way to the end of the garden path. I mean, Rocky likes sticks and spiders and dislikes vegetables! How about calling on ‘Gnome-side Assist’ when your flowerpot car breaks down?! And imagine measuring time by grass growth? Cute and clever, right?!

There are honestly so many elements to love and discover in this sweet and joyful adventure featuring distinctive, and cheeky, little gnomes, and fostering curiosity for nature, science, geography, reading and writing. The characters in Gnoming About; Tree Mail Adventure may be small, but they sure do deliver one big parcel full of fun and love! They’re phe-gnome-enal!
