Today we have a preview of the third volume of Double Booking, written by siblings Chas! Pangburn and Kim Shearer with art by Nic Touris. What sets this series apart is that the story is told by two narrators with very different accounts of events, brother and sister Otto and Nan. We have samples of both their stories so readers can compare and contrast. Here’s the publisher’s description of this volume:
Otto and Nan come to New Orleans for ghost tours, gumbo, and jazz—not to accidentally adopt an anemic vampire. But after splitting up for their own spooky adventures, both siblings cross paths with the same mysterious vampire musician, each uncovering a different piece of a long-buried family secret. What starts as a chaotic brother-sister trip turns into a heartfelt mission to reunite a reluctant undead jazzman with his music, his family, and the life he thought was long gone.
