  • Hard Boiled Eggs
  • Mayonnaise
  • Dill Weed
  • Sweet Relish
  • Paprika

These are the only ingredients needed to make the best-deviled eggs. These eggs will have a subtle pickle flavor without being overpowering, as in they will not taste like pickle juice, they will have a zesty flavor.

It’s best to use sweet relish as opposed to dill pickle relish. The sweet relish will give it more of a sweet and savory flavor.

This recipe is written using dill weed, not fresh dill which will be a different amount. These are nice with a garnish of fresh dill if preferred.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Begin by slicing the hard-boiled eggs in half and placing the yolks in a small bowl.
  2. Add in the mayo, dill weed, and sweet relish.
  3. Mix this well, adding in more mayo if needed. It’s important to get a nice consistency, do not add too much mayo. Keep in mind how you would serve egg salad on a sandwich, not too runny but not too thick. About 1/2 Cup of mayo works well when we make these.
  4. Once you have the egg salad combined place it in the fridge for 1-2 hours to chill before filling the egg yolks.
  5. If it’s already cold, go ahead and pipe or spoon it into each egg yolk.
  6. Before serving sprinkle with paprika.
