A limited-edition ergonomic grip made by designer Bailey Hikawa has sold out from the online Apple Store shortly after its launch, but the MagSafe-compatible accessory is still available direct from the designer.

On Thursday, Apple commemorated 40 years of accessibility design at the company by stocking a rather unique grip for the iPhone intended for disabled users. Two days later, the grip is sold out from the online version of the Apple Store.

The Hikawa Phone Grip & Stand, sold in a choice of Chartreuse or Crater finishes, was priced at $70 each and was labeled as being “Limited Edition.” Of the two colors, the Crater was exclusive to Apple.

While it’s not known how limited supplies were at the online Apple Store, both editions are currently listed as sold out. It remains to be seen if Apple will regain supplies of the accessory, but the demand may encourage more to be restocked in the future.

The designer, Bailey Hikawa, does still list the Chartreuse version as available to purchase from a separate storefront, as well as two more color options that are up for preorder. The Chartreuse and upcoming Cobalt and Blurple variations are still sold at $69.95.

The Hikawa Phone Grip & Stand is an accessory that fixes onto the back of the iPhone using MagSafe. Resembling a ridged wedge with a hole in the middle, it’s an ergonomic grip designed to help people with a wide range of disabilities, including those affecting muscle strength, dexterity, and hand control.

As well as functioning as a grip, it can also be used as a stand for the iPhone, in both portrait and landscape orientations. The central hole could be used with a finger or thumb for extra grip, with it also allowing for the accessory to be mounted in a specific position.
