Insight for Today, Hope for Tomorrow – Finding God in Video Games

One of the things I miss the most about the early Nintendo years was the “Nintendo Power” magazine… from learning cool tips and tricks to assist me in my current games to providing me with information on upcoming releases, this publication was a monthly must read. When I wasn’t in a position to engage in my hobby, I could still saturate myself with the articles within its’ pages, discovering all new adventures to take on as well as gaining insight from trusted fellow gamers on how to overcome my current battles. I was such a fan that I even carried it around in public without shame, because I wanted to have access to it wherever I was.

The most valuable and important resource we possess in life is the written Word of God… the eternal wisdom it presents for both application in our daily lives as well as gaining insight on the Almighty Himself is a gift we can often take for granted because of its accessibility. If we truly understood the power of the Bible to change not only our lives but the lives of others, we would spend intentional time in it every day, taking it everywhere we go without any sense of shame. His words help us fully process our last battle, guide us through our current challenges, and prepare us for our next adventure, so let’s make some time to stop and absorb His wisdom today.

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
