The Wander Society⚡
6/29 – On the way to the farmer’s market we had a run in with Scientologist. We park at a park and right by the sidewalk table set up and a sign saying Free Stress Test. My friend got excited and thought it was a health thing. As we walk up to the table I notice the books by L. Ron Hubbard stack on the table.
My friend sat in the chair and a guy give him these to cylinder to hold attach to a machine. The guy ask friend some question and as soon as friend started talking the meter on the machine went up. We both know what was going on. I move to stand behind the guy asking questions. Started signaling to my friend to end it and get out. Some other scientologist notice me and like, “hay do you want a stress test?” I said “no thank you”. The guy hand my friend the book and said, “all our belief are in this book. That will be twenty five dollars.”
We went to the farmers market. Walk around for a bit, then head inside to listen to some jazz. Later we hang a hammock in the park and then went to play some chess.
6/30 – Made some quesadillas to take to the springs. We ate by the water and went swimming. My friend say the water cold. I work outside in the heat all day so, to me it felt nice to go swimming at dusk when the water is cold. After that we took off to Tiniest bar to play some chess. I made the mistake of ordering a drink that was a little too strong. Not doing that again.
