Konda Surekha Seeks Rahul Gandhi Inquiry Into Alleged Isolation by Revanth Reddy Govt

Konda Surekha, the Telangana Minister for Endowments, Commerce and Industries, has written a detailed letter to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, exposing serious differences with the Revanth Reddy government. The letter outlines multiple instances where she alleges her ministerial powers were systematically reduced and key decisions were made without her consultation. She has requested an impartial and comprehensive inquiry into what she describes as targeted political isolation.

The minister’s letter highlights several specific grievances regarding her departmental functioning. She claims that crucial decisions related to her portfolios were taken without informing or consulting her as the concerned minister. One major issue raised was her exclusion from the Yadadri Temple Trust Board process, despite her position as Endowments Minister. Additionally, she stated that funds allocated for the Sammakka-Saralamma temple were transferred to the Roads and Buildings Department without her knowledge or approval.

In another significant allegation, Konda Surekha pointed out that her photograph was deliberately omitted from government advertisements. She also raised concerns about her former Officer on Special Duty, Sumanth, who was removed from his position and allegedly targeted without her knowledge or consent as the minister. These actions, according to her letter, demonstrate a systematic effort to undermine her authority within the government structure.

The minister specifically mentioned issues related to Warangal East constituency, where she claims development works and allocated funds are being deliberately delayed. She also stated that Kadiyam Srihari conducted an Endowments Department review meeting without involving her, despite it being her ministerial responsibility. The letter suggests that the Konda family is being politically isolated in the Warangal region through these administrative measures.

One of the most serious allegations in the letter concerns a show-cause notice issued to Konda Surekha for statements reportedly made by her adult daughter. The minister argues this action is unprecedented and demonstrates selective targeting. She has characterized these actions as discrimination, claiming she is being singled out because she is a Backward Class woman leader in the government. The letter emphasizes that such treatment violates principles of fair governance and ministerial autonomy.

Along with the written complaint, Konda Surekha submitted a pen drive to Rahul Gandhi containing videos and supporting material to substantiate her allegations. The documentation is meant to provide evidence for the comprehensive inquiry she has requested from the Congress leadership. The minister’s detailed submission to the national leadership indicates the seriousness of her grievances and her expectation of intervention from the party high command to address what she describes as systematic marginalization within the state government.
