It has once again been very difficult knocking down all these great albums released this year just down to Ten , The ten that made it are mostly in the top ten for being pure nostalgic memories givers , apart from the number 10 Goo By Sonic Youth because it is such a really great album and i have no nostalgic memories attached to it at all. The other nine are of course all brilliant albums but also attached are great memories . They soundtracked my working days in both the Our Price stores in Liverpool and my hometown St Helens and the wonderful crazy people i worked with . They also soundtracked my out of work hours especially the Cramps and The Fall album which filled either side of a cassette that was played in my then girlfriends car and soundtracked us on going to many gigs and days and nights out. 1990 was also the year my then band started to attract record label interest as we recorded a stunning three song demo which was quite brilliant ,so once again these albums played as the band planned world domination as we dreamed and schemed and traveled and played gigs and hung around getting drunk. Honourable mentions there are many, Happy Mondays Pills Thrills and Bellyaches, Those Bastards The Charlatans whose record labels Dead Dead Good was one of the labels showing interest and took the guitar riff from one of the songs on the demo and played it on keyboards and plastered it all over a future single .but what will be will be and i am not bitter as the saying goes, time wounds old heels . The Ride debut ,Nick Cave The Good Son which was the first album i bought on cd up until then i bought everything on vinyl .Pigeon hole by the New Fast Automatic Daffodils ,who were a great live band that i saw a number of times around this time. There are many many so i will bore you no longer.
