Hyderabad: Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha on Thursday met patients admitted to Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) after consuming adulterated toddy and spoke to senior doctors at NIMS and enquired about the health status of the patients.
“At present, 31 people are undergoing treatment at NIMS and all of them are stable. Four patients are undergoing dialysis. There’s a possibility that everyone will be discharged in about four to five days,” he said
The Minister said the state government will conduct a full-scale inquiry into the incident, and strict action will be taken against those responsible. Measures will also be implemented to prevent such incidents from recurring, he added.
