This is a simple and quick reflection on the beer that I drank (and reviewed) in 2025.
I just don’t drink as much beer as I used to. There are positives and negatives associated with that fact, one of the positives being that I’m infinitely more discerning than I used to be. I rarely drink a beer that I haven’t got a pretty good idea that I’m going to enjoy. I really haven’t drunk a lot of beer this year (relatively), so as such I’m choosing from a smaller pool (even though it’s deep) and only going for a ‘Top 5’ for 2025.
There are a couple of rules as to which beers can be chosen;
1. I must have reviewed the beer, and
2. I must have had it for the first time in 2025.
That means that a myriad of my favorite beers of all time can’t make the cut, but also focuses my attention on the recent. It’s also worth noting that perhaps if one analyzed the scores on the beers below they might not necessarily be the highest (maybe they are, I haven’t checked).
