Velvet Royal Krusovice – Пивная бутылка.

Крушовице Velvet Royal

Meet Kruszowice Velvet Royal. Yes, that’s right — the brand name is written in Cyrillic, and everything else is written in Latin. Going to the end, we must use the Kruszowice Corduroy Piano.

I’ll explain if anyone missed it in good ignorance – OPH (formerly Heineken) has translated licensed brands into Cyrillic. Now not Gosser, but Gesser, not Krusovice, but Krusovice, and so on. But let’s leave aside the marketing and licensing gimmicks. The main thing is beer!

And here it turned out interesting. OPH sent a gift set of three to Kruszowice. Yes, they followed the Baltic and decided to localize and make themselves known. This is a good thing (to produce a new beer)! One of the sent cans was a novelty – Krushovite Velvet Royal.

At first, I thought it was Velvet in the Russian version. But he dismissed the thought immediately. Yes, the brand belongs to Heineken, but why make it under the Krusovice brand? In addition, it is quite difficult to produce beer with nitrogen and a special taste. Even the IPC did not manage to achieve a stable result. So this isn’t it. So, we will try!

Krushovice Velvet Royal (Russia, Saint Petersburg) – 5/13, 5. The aroma is malty and pleasant. The taste is full, and enveloping. Toasted toast. The aftertaste is slightly tart. The hops are not strong, but there are some. Overall, a very pleasant beer. In “Sneaker” it is declared as Lager-Světlé (Czech Pale), but I would refer it to as Viennese. The rating is “B-“.

But after beer from beer giants, you can’t help but go through their marketers. What does the label on the jar say?

Velvety finish and mild bitterness thanks to a bouquet of three malt varieties for a rich taste.

Bitterness from the malt, Karl! Noble one, Karl! OPH, you’re almost an organized criminal group by its abbreviation – take the person who invented it to the Gulf of Finland and make them feel bitter! Shame on you, comrades, shame on you! And the beer is pretty good. You can consider it as the answer “Khamovniki Viennskoe” 😉

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
