The reality of life is that every person perceives themselves in a certain way, depending on their thoughts, personality, or experiences.

This in turn determines the value we each place on ourselves as humans.

What exactly is self-esteem?

Self-esteem which is also referred to as self-worth or self-respect is simply how we value or perceive ourselves or how much we like and appreciate ourselves irrespective of circumstances, which is often based on our opinions and beliefs about ourselves.
