KPMG One Africa has announced the promotion and appointment of new partners across its member firms, effective 1 October 2026. The announcement was posted on the official KPMG Africa LinkedIn page under the hashtags #KPMGProud and #TogetherForBetter.

“Join us in congratulating our new Partners,” the post reads, adding that the appointments “reflect the exceptional talent within our firm, our commitment to developing future leaders and our confidence in the opportunities ahead for Africa.”

The New Partners

An accompanying graphic, titled “Partner Appointments 2026,” welcomes the newest partners and calls the appointments “a testament to the talent, dedication, and leadership that drives our firm forward.” It profiles eight partners, seven of whom are named. In Southern Africa, Hanyani Mabaso and Kabelo Ramphele join in Audit, Jan van der Merwe, Nombulelo Makhubedu and Willie Barnard join in Advisory, and Nadia Chitara joins in Tax. In East Africa, James Kimani joins in Tax.

The post tags KPMG’s firms in South Africa, East Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Mauritius, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana and Mozambique, showing how widely the announcement reaches across the One Africa network. The cluster brings together KPMG member firms in Southern, East and West Africa and was established in 2025 to strengthen collaboration across borders.

The appointments follow other leadership changes this year. Tola Adeyemi became CEO of KPMG One Africa in March 2026, and Miguel Alvim takes over as Country Managing Partner for Mozambique on the same 1 October date.

What Comes Next

The graphic shows a mix of audit, tax and advisory partners, with most placed in Southern Africa and one in East Africa. KPMG tagged its Nigeria and Ghana firms, but no West Africa appointees appear in the graphic. The firm has not yet said how many partners were appointed in total, or whether further names will follow.

Partner promotions at the Big Four show where a firm is investing for the long term. With KPMG now operating as a single African cluster, this class is an early sign of how it plans to build its next generation of leaders across the continent’s key service lines.
