Political violence of any kind against any candidate is totally unacceptable. It was unacceptable when Gabby Giffords was shot. When Steve Scalise was shot. When Trump supporters stormed the Capitol. And, today, when former President Trump was shot.
Sadly we are reaping what we have sowed. It must stop but only we can stop it.
It’s not okay to condemn violence that seems to be against ‘us’ but remain silent when it is done against those with which we disagree.
It’s not okay to play politics with the violent actions and then vote against common sense reforms to curb gun violence, to applaud the erosion of law and order in the court system, to accept one set of rules for the wealthy and connected and another for the 99.9%.
This will only end when we vote with our hearts AND our minds. Open our eyes and ears wide to accept the truth and recognize and reject the lies.
