
Hidden Brook is tucked into the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and features everything from 14-station sporting clays and 3D archery ranges to mountain biking trails that will chew you up and spit you out if you’re not careful—or so they say.
They opened the gates to the public in May 2025 with a bang—literally—and this isn’t just a playground for seasoned sharpshooters. It’s a place for newcomers, families, and people like me, who think “Five-Stand” sounds like something you order at a food truck festival.
Now I know what Five-Stand is, and let me tell you, it was a fun and exciting new way, at least for me, to shoot clays!
Hidden Brook isn’t just about squeezing a trigger—it’s quickly becoming a community anchor. Tracey ran through a list of upcoming events and gatherings, making it clear that this place is about more than just hitting clays. Jen and I are already plotting our return, hoping to sharpen our aim with our friend Thomas Salley—the Wilkes County Tourism Director and, let’s be honest, the only one of us who looked like he knew what he was doing out there under that blazing sun.
