I’m excited to share my first review of a Swedish watch brand. While Germany, Japan, and Switzerland are renowned for their quality timepieces, Sweden isn’t typically highlighted in this arena. However, Tusenö has pleasantly surprised me with its impressive offerings.
So, why was I so pleasantly surprised? Let’s find out as we dive into the review of the Tusenö Windseeker.
The Brand

Tusenö has been producing watches since 2015 and currently offers four collections. Their lineup includes an affordable quartz chronograph and two dive watches—one of which has a slight resemblance to Tudor but remains distinct and original.
However, the star of today’s review is the Tusenö Windseeker, their latest model. It’s a sportier timepiece with refined details that set it apart from their divers.
Tusenö sets itself apart with subtle design details that add a unique touch without being overly bold or eccentric. Instead of chasing extreme originality, they focus on well-balanced designs and a strong quality-to-price ratio.
Packaging

I was thoroughly impressed with the Tusenö Windseeker’s packaging. The outer box is a classic black cardboard design, but the real highlight is inside—a beautifully crafted travel pouch.
This pouch opens from the side, securely holding the watch in place. Made from cork, it has a distinct look reminiscent of a champagne cork. It’s a thoughtful and high-quality addition that clearly wasn’t cheaply made.
Design

The Tusenö Windseeker has a simple, refined design, where the beauty lies in the details. One standout feature is the combination of the bracelet and the watch itself, which creates a unique aesthetic. The bracelet, in particular, adds significant visual appeal and elevates the overall look.

I’d classify the Tusenö Windseeker as a sports watch with a dressy touch. Its refined design gives it a jewelry-like appeal compared to typical sports watches. Thanks to its well-balanced size, it pairs surprisingly well with a suit—especially depending on the dial color you choose.

Now, let’s dive into the details that make this watch truly enjoyable:
- Dial Design: The engraved lines mimic longitude and latitude markings, likely referencing travel.
- Subtle Color Accents: The yellow seconds hand and matching Windseeker lettering add a refined pop of color.
- Date Aperture: The round date window blends seamlessly with the curved lines of the dial, reinforcing its globe-like aesthetic.
- Hour Indices & Hands: Three distinct sizes of hour markers create visual harmony, complementing the sharp, sword-style hands with an angular center line.
- Case & Bezel: A bold, angular design with multiple facets and beveled edges. The polished case sides transition into a brushed top, while the bezel mixes polished and brushed surfaces for added depth.
- Bracelet Craftsmanship: Almost jewelry-like, featuring beveled edges and an impressive mix of finishes—even the polished inner links enhance its luxurious appeal under different lighting.
- Sporty Yet Dressy: Strikes a perfect balance between a dive watch and a Rolex Datejust-style timepiece with a metal bracelet. The size plays a key role in defining this unique hybrid style.
- Crown Detail: Features a prominently embossed star, adding a distinctive touch of character and refinement.
Overall, the Windseeker masterfully balances a sporty aesthetic with luxury elements, giving it a refined, dressy feel. It occupies a unique space between a true dive watch and something akin to a Rolex Datejust, but with a metal bracelet. The size also plays a key role in defining this hybrid style—one that doesn’t quite fit into a single category but works beautifully.
Quality
In order to better see how well the polished surfaces play with the light, here is a video:
Case, crown & bezel

As mentioned earlier, the case, crown, and bezel have a jewelry-like quality while maintaining a sporty edge. This balance is achieved through a thoughtful mix of finely brushed and polished surfaces. The brushing on this watch is exceptionally well-executed, as is the polishing. I’m especially impressed by how the bracelet catches the light—it’s a testament to the high level of finishing.
The crown operation is equally impressive. Unwinding it feels incredibly smooth, with no grinding or resistance—almost too buttery smooth for this price range. Once unscrewed, there’s minimal wobble, and the entire build feels rock-solid.
Dial

Everything on the dial is impressively aligned, with tight tolerances that stand out. The hour hand sits very close to the dial, followed closely by the minute hand, creating a refined look with minimal gaps—something I really appreciate.

The sunray finish is subtle and doesn’t overpower the engraved lines, allowing both elements to shine without competing. The sharp edges on the hour indices are mirrored beautifully by the crisp, angular line running down the center of the hands, adding to the watch’s precision and elegance.
Up close, the finishing is truly remarkable for this price range. It’s a testament not only to Tusenö’s craftsmanship but also to the overall evolution of watch production quality—something that continues to impress me more and more.
Lume

This watch features my favorite lume, BGW9, which emits a beautiful blue hue. Unlike the green lume found on many other watches, BGW9 isn’t as bright initially but lasts significantly longer.
The lume application here is excellent, with no uneven patches or brightness inconsistencies when examined up close. Compared to some of my dive watches, the overall intensity is slightly lower, but that’s likely due to the slimmer lume insertions rather than a flaw in application.
That said, it serves its purpose well—I can still read the time clearly even after six hours in the dark.
Strap & Buckle

Few watches can truly claim that their bracelet is the star of the show—one that immediately comes to mind is the Royal Oak. While the Windseeker doesn’t quite reach that level, it comes impressively close, comparatively.

The multifaceted links catch the light beautifully, with a finish that matches the high standard set by the case. This is far from a low-end bracelet—not only does it look premium, but it also feels fantastic on the wrist.
- Build Quality: Minimal jiggle, no rattling, and a smooth wraparound fit.
- Comfort: The underside is soft against the skin, with no pinching or sharp edges—something even higher-priced watches sometimes struggle with.
- Design Appeal: Even a friend who usually dislikes metal bracelets admitted he’d consider wearing this one.
- Clasp: A double-trigger hidden clasp, which opens to reveal fully polished arms with perlage in the middle—a detail I did not expect at this price point.
Overall, the bracelet is outstanding and easily outperforms what you’d expect in this category.
Movement

The Tusenö Windseeker is powered by the Sellita SW200, one of the most commonly used automatic movements for brands looking to step up in quality from Miyota or Seiko movements. Essentially a clone of the ETA 2824-2, it’s widely regarded for its reliability and similar performance.
Movement Specs
A great feature of this watch is the exhibition case back, allowing you to view the movement in action. While the SW200 isn’t the most visually striking movement, it’s still noticeably more refined than a typical Seiko caliber.
In this specific watch, the movement is performing exceptionally well, with a deviation of just -12 seconds per day—a solid result for this price range.
Quality Conclusion
Overall, the Tusenö Windseeker impresses with its polishing, build tolerances, and overall feel. Every detail has been carefully considered—exactly what I’d expect at this price point.
However, what truly stands out is that this watch punches above its weight class, delivering quality beyond its price range. It’s always great to see a timepiece that exceeds expectations, and this one does just that.
This experience has definitely piqued my interest in what Tusenö will release next.
Important Tip: The flat brushed bezel is a scratch magnet and they are visible, so watch out if you hate those.
On the wrist

With a thickness of 10.5mm, a lug-to-lug of 47mm, and a diameter of 39mm, the Tusenö Windseeker has truly achieved what I’d call a universal size—one that fits most wrists comfortably.

On my 17cm wrist, it sits exceptionally well, drawing attention without being overpowering. It maintains a sporty yet refined look, though it leans more towards the sporty side overall.
Comfort & Wearability
- The bracelet is extremely comfortable, as noted earlier.
- The flat case profile further enhances wearability, ensuring a snug fit without feeling bulky.
Overall, this watch strikes a perfect balance between presence and comfort, making it a great all-around timepiece.
Important Note: Some earlier reviews mentioned that this watch didn’t come with micro-adjustment links, but that has since changed—and thank God for that!
Thanks to these micro links, I was able to achieve a perfect fit on my wrist, something that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. It’s a small but significant improvement that makes a huge difference in comfort and wearability.
It’s also great to see that Tusenö listens to customer feedback and makes adjustments based on real user experiences. That’s exactly what we want from a watch brand—continuous refinement and attention to detail.
Price
This watch is priced at €749, which is a very fair price for what it offers. In this range, I’d compare it to Marc and Sons, which is slightly more expensive by around €100 but comes with additional features and functionalities.
That said, if you love the design of the Windseeker, you won’t be disappointed by its quality—it delivers solid craftsmanship and attention to detail that make it well worth the price.
Conclusion

Tusenö has established itself as a brand that prioritizes refined craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and a strong quality-to-price ratio. Rather than chasing bold or extravagant aesthetics, they focus on subtle, well-executed details that elevate their watches beyond expectations. Their willingness to listen to feedback and improve—as seen with the addition of micro-adjustment links—shows a commitment to both quality and customer satisfaction.
The Windseeker embodies this philosophy, delivering a versatile, well-balanced timepiece that blends sporty appeal with dressy refinement. From its engraved dial and polished accents to its exceptional bracelet and reliable Sellita movement, every element feels premium at €749. It’s a watch that not only looks and feels great but also punches well above its price range, making it an exciting release from a brand that continues to impress.
