- 2024 Roseblood d’Estoublon Rose (Coteaux Varois en Provence): Utterly delicious. Rose petals, wild red berries, and equal parts fun and refinement. $27 B+
- 2023 Domaine de Cabasse ‘Le Rose’ (Mediterranee): Floral and earthy, and very round in the mid-section. $NA B
- 2022 Bodegas Ontanon Tempranillo Blanco (Rioja): Lotsa honey, lotsa oranges, lotsa wood. $15 B
- 2019 San Felice ‘Poggio Rosso Castelnuovo Berardenga’ (Chianti Classico Gran Selezione): Already developed, with savory red fruits, stewed plums, wood and dried herb spices. Very nice line of activity here, with tangy-ness to spare. $60 A-
- 2021 Psagot ‘Peak’ Red (Judean Hills): A sense of rich wildness pervades, making it feel at once both familiar and exotic. $60 A-
- 2024 Sonoma-Cutrer Sauvignon Blanc (Sonoma County): Grapefruit and zestiness to spare, long herbal finish, mineral texture and, delicious citrus flavor. $25 B+
- 2022 Merry Edwards Warrens’ Hill Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley): Leather, game, smoke, blackberry, bramble, black tea, rhubarb. Excellent depth, focus, and richness. Wow. $70 A
- 2022 Papapietro Perry Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley): Feels ripe and rich in its red berry fruit whirlwind; there’s wonderful tea leaf and baking spice complexity here, too. $64 A-
- 2024 Donum Rose of Pinot Noir (Carneros): Excellent, floral and fine with great red apple, blood orange and red berry action. Fantastic length! $50 A-
- 2022 Goosecross Cellars State Lane Vineyard Cabernet Franc (Napa Valley): Sophisticated, but with a wild side. Dark fruit, plenty of spices, and lots of intrigue. A- $90
