The manager of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola has told the supporters of the club what they are looking to achieve this season.
Manchester City have been ruled out of winning the Premier League this campaign after failing to replicate their form in the last four seasons. The Premier league Champions have lost more games than they have in the past couple of years, this performance has ended any hope that they might have of winning League.
Pep Guardiola confirmed that top four will be seen as a success this season. He said this after the victory over Tottenham Hotspur at the white hart lane on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
He said,
Never this season we will be the old Manchester City! The old City was too good but, we will be back. The Champions League spot would be a good result for us this season”.
Manchester City are currently placed in fourth place behind Chelsea who currently occupy the fifth place. However, there are reports that the Premier league would have at least five clubs participate in the Champions league next season due to the exit of three Serie A clubs ( Atalanta, AC Milan, Juventus) in the first round.
