MY REVIEW
I love reading office job related stories, specially when it has a twist with an office romance. This rom-com The Launch Date is about Grace Hastings who lives in a shared old townhouse flat, with everything second hand, and has just experience a break up with her boyfriend, leaving Grace believing that the idea of finding her true love match seems like a pipe dream. Or is it? Grace is working for a company working on a dating app. When a new dating app is introduced, where single people see a collection of dates packages, and when they click on someone they like they are agreeing to attend a time slot date with that person. There’s only one problem to help get this new dating app to work, Grace Hastings has been offered the job by CEO Mr Catcher to test drive some first dates. Now the race is on Grace and the rather rude rival Eric Bancroft are both competing against each other for the top job, Head of Marketing . With all things that happen along the way of Grace and Eric battling against each other. A splendid story, a clever idea! For book clubs you need to add The Launch Date to your reading schedule, as it’s a great new topic to have an interesting discussion about. I am always interested in how an author comes up with ideas to write their novel and The Launch Date by Annabelle is inspired by her time working at a global dating app.
