United Airlines says the value of their credit cards is increasing along with the annual fees, up to $695 for the United Club Card.

Chase and United Airlines are announcing “new and enhanced” travel benefits for their cards, but they come at an increased cost.

The new card bonuses and fees were revealed on March 24, 2025, to both current and prospective cardholders.

Card Fees Increase, But Promise Hundreds in Total Value

Chase and United say that cardmembers can get increased value from their cards despite the increased annual fee. At the minimum, they claim the United Explorer card now comes with over $800 in value for a $150 annual fee.

The United Explorer card now comes with up to $60 of rideshare credit in a calendar year, as well as a 10,000-mile award flight discount for a future ticket. Flyers can also earn $100 in United Travel credits for a United flight or other select United purchases, and up to $100 in statement credits on United Hotels purchases.

At $350 per year, the United Quest card now comes with $200 in United Travel Credits for a United flight or other select United purchases, up to $100 in rideshare credits, and two Economy Plus upgrade certificates. Cardholders also get 1,000 card bonus Premier Qualifying Points each program year, along with the opportunity to earn enough points to obtain MileagePlus Premier Platinum status.

For the top-end United Club card and its $650 annual fee, members still get membership to the lounge network, which United values at $750 annually. Cardholders also get up to $150 in rideshare credits per year, the opportunity to earn up to 20,000 miles in award flight discounts annually, and 1,500 card bonus Premier Qualifying Points each year. The Club card is also the only card where members can earn Premier 1K status through spending.

To celebrate the new cards, United and Chase are offering increased bonuses for new cardmembers. United MileagePlus Explorer cardholders can earn 80,000 bonus miles after qualifying purchases, and United MileagePlus Quest cardholders can earn 90,000 bonus miles and 500 Premier Qualifying Miles after select purchases. Those who opt for the United MileagePlus Club card can earn 95,000 bonus miles after qualifying purchases.
