Welcome back for this week’s edition of Dollar Bin Digging where I spotlight a few books to keep an eye out for to snag on the cheap.
This week, I cover some books related to recent News and Rumors, while also showcasing some others based on appearances and what’s going on in this week’s new release comics.

As I always say, Comics should be fun; and I want to provide content that keeps this hobby the good time that it should be. Anyway, if you follow my IG, then you may have seen some of these pick-ups before as I typically share my pick-ups there when they happen. Check it out if you like seeing more books than I cover here. So, without further ado, let’s see what you should be looking out for in those bins…

Scorched #24This one has 2 covers and I think I actually like the B cover a lot more, but inside it features the sister of the Phlebliac Brothers, Viscerator. Still a cheap book for a baddie 1st appearance and who knows where things are going in the Spawn universe.

Uncanny X-Men #366Ok so a bit of a creepy obsession character here as the 1st appearance of Astra. Now Astra had a thing for Magneto, who rebuffed her, triggering her to make clones of Mags for herself, like Joseph. And the call me your mother bit adds a level of unseemliness. But not weird at all. 😉🍻 And its nice to see that she hasn’t changed much over the years as she’s got a Joseph clone at her side still in this issue despite this storyline playing out originally in the 90s.

Guardians of the Galaxy #0.1So many copies made o this relaunch of GotG with Bendis at the helm, he decided to once again retcon Peter Quill’s daddy. I go over it a bit more with the alternate Jasons in the video, but J’son here was made to be Star Lords true papa. Still a petty cheap book and J’son looks to be playing a major role in this Imperial event so could be a good stash if his profile gets upped by this event.

Legendary Star Lord #1Speaking of Quill family members playing a big role in this event, we also have his half sister who is currently in stasis after an assassination attempt on her. So keep an eye on Victoria as well. Her 1st is an easy one to find for cheap as well. Once again could be worth a stash just in case this spins into other huge cosmic events like Annihilation and Real of Kings did prior. Also check out the video for half a dozen other alien 1st appearances from this 1st installment of Imperial (one of the best event starts in a while IMO).
