Ranch at Death Valley – Pink Hat Gypsy

Beautiful grounds with a variety of places to eat and shop.   They even have a small post office.   We stayed in a king bed cabana, there was a separate living room with a pull out sofa bed and seating on the patio.    They are kind of stingy with their pillows (we were given 2 pillows).    And there is no daily housekeeping.

Parking is free

The pool is spring fed with a perfect temp in the 80’s.    There is a free shuttle that you can use to go to The Inn, where there is another restaurant that is a bit more upscale and expensive, but the food is delicious with generous portions.   The Inn also has a variety of evening activities that includes telescope viewing and star walks.

Check in was a little chaotic with a long line to wait, they had oversold our room but they upgraded us to make up for it.

Reservations are definitely a must in this place!   We arrived early evening and were fortunate enough to grab one of the three outside tables that are considered part of the bar (bar is first come seating)

You can also eat at the bar.    We ordered Shrimp cocktail, caprese salad, crab cake tacos, and the pork chop.      Portions were very generous, prices not bad, especially for a resort and the food was delicious.  The pork chops were cooked to perfection with so much flavor.      The chocolate martini I had for dessert was also delicious.    It was a beautiful night with a view of the sky and the mountains.   Nathan was great, very friendly and helpful with food suggestions.     Loved this place will definitely be back.      If you’re staying at The Ranch there is a free shuttle that runs back and forth until about 11pm, you just ask at the front desk.  After dinner check out the sky deck on the 4th floor.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
