Laptops are powerful tools that open up a world of creativity, a tool that can be used for entertainment, learning, play games, watching videos, or even talk to our friends virtually. But, just like how we need food and water to stay healthy, our laptops need care to stay happy too.

We all know that one of the most important parts of a laptop is its battery. If you want your laptop to last for a very long time and work well, you really need to learn how to maintain your battery well. So, here are some easy tips to implement in order to keep your laptop battery healthy .

1. Don’t Let Your Battery Go to 0% at All Times

Laptops don’t like it when their battery runs all the way down to 0%. Imagine this as a person, if you’re working for a long time and didn’t eat, what happens after a while, you become hungry and weak as well right?

So, always try not to let your battery go completely empty too often. It’s good to charge your laptop when it’s around 20% or 30%. This way, your battery stays strong for a long time!

 2. Don’t Always Keep Your Laptop Plugged in All Day

Sometimes, it’s tempting to leave your laptop plugged in all the time, especially when you’re busy using it or you experience frequent power outages in your area. But just like how it’s good to take breaks, your laptop needs the same too.

If you keep it plugged in all day, it can make the laptop battery to start getting weaker and it will degrade faster. So, try to always unplug it once it’s fully charged.

 3. Keep Your Laptop Cool

Laptops can get really hot when they’re working for a very long time or running heavy tasks, this can result in the laptop getting very hot and can make its battery weak and not perform very well.

When working with your laptop, try not to use it on soft surfaces like a bed or blanket, this prevents air from going out from the laptop, it’s better to use your laptop on a table or desk where air can flow freely.

 4. Always Charge your Laptop in a Safe Place

You know how we don’t leave our food in the sun, right? Well, don’t leave your laptop in a super hot place either. If your laptop gets too hot, like for example in the sun or near a heater, it can hurt the battery’s lifespan. So, always keep it cool, and in a safe spot when you’re not using it.

 5. Use Battery-Saving Settings

Your laptop has some settings that allows you to save your battery, you can change the settings to make the battery last longer. Other things you can do like turning down the brightness of the screen, end Softwares or tabs you don’t need or using, turning off Wi-Fi connection when you’re done working can save a lot of your battery and help it to last longer.

 6. Update Your Laptop Frequently.

Sometimes, your Windows or macOS can receive an update, these updates are not for fancy and can help reduce malware and viruses in your laptop, helping the battery to last longer and work better.

So, make sure to check if your laptop needs any updates every now and then.

In Summary
