Nicky Hager to drop mystery book weeks before election

A mysteriously sparse invitation has revealed investigative journalist Nicky Hager will launch a closely guarded new book just weeks before the election.

Its title is unknown. Its subject is secret. No interviews will be given (though we did try) and no copies will be available until it is unveiled at a book launch on Tuesday.

But the timing and secrecy will inevitably revive memories of Dirty Politics, the bombshell Hager released five weeks before the 2014 general election.

That book exposed links between senior National Party figures and right-wing blogger Cameron Slater, dominated political coverage and forced then-prime minister John Key and members of his government onto the defensive.

Stuff

Hmmmmmmm.

I wonder if Nicky’s book could derail the Taxpayers’ Union Debate series?
