Cam’ron Says Dame Dash Turned Down $1M Because He Thought NBA YoungBoy Had $2M Ready

Cam’ron is opening up about one of the more surprising chapters in Dame Dash’s financial struggles. On his Revolt talk show Talk with Flee, the Harlem rapper claimed he and Mase offered Dash one million dollars for his one-third share of Roc-A-Fella Records, only to be brushed off after Dash insisted NBA YoungBoy was coming with a two million dollar deal. Cam’ron accused Dash of “mixing truth with lies” about what really happened behind the scenes.

Cam’ron and Mase Tried to Help

At the time, Dash was under pressure to cover an $800,000 court judgment tied to a copyright and defamation case. According to Cam, Mase didn’t want to see Dash humiliated in public, so the two of them put together a one million dollar bailout offer, splitting it down the middle. The plan was simple: buy the shares, resell them later at a higher value, and make sure Dash still walked away with his million. “We weren’t trying to hurt Jay-Z,” Cam explained. “We just wanted Dame to avoid being in the headlines for the wrong reasons.”

NBA YoungBoy’s Name Enters the Conversation

Cam’ron says their offer was turned down when Dash claimed NBA YoungBoy was preparing to put two million dollars on the table. “Dame brushed us off, saying YoungBoy had two million lined up,” Cam recalled. In the end, that deal never surfaced, and Dash kept stalling while talking about an even bigger six million dollar offer that also failed to materialize.

How It Played Out

By 2024, Dame Dash ended up selling his Roc-A-Fella shares to the State of New York for one million dollars—the same amount Cam’ron and Mase had offered in the first place. Cam said Dash eventually circled back to see if their money was still available, but by that time the two had lost interest. “Mase wasn’t picking up anymore,” Cam said. “Looking back, it was probably a bad investment anyway.”

Where Things Stand Now

Dame Dash’s finances remain rocky. In September 2025, he filed for bankruptcy, citing tens of millions in debt. He has also filed a three hundred million dollar defamation lawsuit against Cam’ron, claiming that comments about the Roc-A-Fella deal damaged his reputation and business opportunities. It’s the latest twist in the complicated story of Roc-A-Fella’s former partners, and Cam’ron shows no sign of backing away from his version of events.
