D-D The Aquarium Solution, known by many for their ROWAphos product, has been purchased by Cresco LTD, a UK investment company. Cresco also owns Red Sea, a popular brand among many aquarists.
D-D was founded by David Saxby over 20 years ago, David will remain with Cresco for a period of time. In addition to ROWAphos, a phosphate control product, aquarists may be familiar with D-D refractometers and Jumpguard screening kits.
We expect to see additional mergers and acquisitions in the aquatic space this year. Past mergers have provided mixed results for consumers. Some products have gained better distribution systems, increasing availability while maintaining quality, while others have suffered from degraded customer support experiences.
We are hopeful that this change will increase the availability of many D-D products on the US side of the pond.
