St. Petersburg’s Grand Central Brewhouse releases two new beers
St. Petersburg’s Grand Central Brewhouse is kicking off Memorial Day Weekend with two new releases on the radar: Elevator Pitch Helles Lager is getting canned and their altbier, Sappin’ The Bass.

Elevator Pitch is getting the #TakeHomeABeer Treatment! We just canned up a small run of our award-winning Munich Helles, and this one has a pretty solid résumé: Bronze in Munich-style Helles at the 2026 Best Florida Beer Pro Comp and Silver at the 2025 BFBC Oktoberfest Competition.
You know those moments where you have to sell yourself, your idea, or your big plan in a few clean sentences? That’s the spirit of this beer. Simple on the surface, harder to execute than it looks, and all about sticking the landing.
Elevator Pitch brings a soft grainy-like malt character, a light, honey-like sweetness, restrained hop presence, and a clean lager finish. No big tricks, just a classic Munich Helles brewed with the finesse the style demands.
This is our pitch to you: Come get some while we’ve got them.
Rumor has it Paul Rudd was recently in St. Pete filming a movie, and somewhere in the distance, a bass line started calling our name.
Feeling a bit nostalgic, we brought back a GCB legend. Slappin’ Da Bass has returned to our draft list for the first time in YEARS!
This GCB deep cut is a German-style Altbier, essentially an amber lager, brewed with the Christian Schmidt lager strain. Expect mild notes of caramel and toffee, a clean finish, and a hint of bitterness.
Come grab a pour. Raise a glass. And for the love of Lou Ferrigno, slap-a da bass!
