Cosy but spooky, creepy but cute. How does that sound to you? If it’s befitting for your gaming palate, then Allogloom is the game you should look out for. It’s made by solo developer Kate, known as Galactic Ghosty, who’s got publisher Iceberg Interactive onboard to bring the game to PC.
Allogloom is a hand-painted point-and-click mystery adventure that’s launching on Steam on October 13th, 2026. October feels like the perfect month for the game with its whole creepy-but-cosy vibe launching when Halloween is around the corner.
The art is the first thing that will catch your eye. The characters have that classic & storybook silhouette. The environments are dark, surreal, and spooky, with visuals and atmosphere similar to Fran Bow. Allogloom takes inspiration from Art Nouveau, giving the entire adventure a lush, detailed look. Allogloom is about Nora
It’s set in a place called Gruesome Grove. The residents have mysteriously disappeared, while the moths are watching everything. You play as Nora, who’s trying to figure out why everyone in her town has vanished before there’s nobody left to save.
The story stretches across eight chapters, and you’ll be exploring six different worlds along the way. As Nora investigates, she’ll gather clues, inspect strange relics left behind by the vanished townsfolk, and untangle the mystery.
Nora starts with almost nothing except a note pointing her toward somewhere forbidden. Along the way, she runs into Gruesome Grove’s revered and also ravenous moths and deals with displaced monsters. The Gruesome Grove she grew up in is already gone, and bringing it back means breaking every rule standing in her way.
As for the gameplay, it involves searching for and collecting items and combining them to solve puzzles. You’ll also investigate strange relics, negotiate with characters, and chat with all kinds of peculiar people and monsters.
