El Dorado Rum is inviting bartenders to create a cocktail that captures their legacy, their journey, and their interpretation of heritage.
The Australian winner will win an all expense paid trip to Guyana to visit the home of El Dorado rum and compete in the global finals for a chance to win $5,000 USD and a collection of rare El Dorado rums.
Your cocktail must consist of a minimum measure of 50ml of El Dorado Rum and be the main ingredient for your drink. Importantly, your cocktail creation should tell a story that captures your legacy, your journey, and your interpretation of heritage.
You must post the image of your cocktail to your Instagram account (must be a public account), tagging @eldoradorums, @expeditiontrade, @eldoradoaustralia and using the hashtag #eldoradorumheritage2025.

RULES
- Each individual serve should contain a minimum of 50ml of any El Dorado rum.
- Present your cocktail in a creative way, influenced by your legacy, journey and interpretation of heritage.
- Describe each ingredient in detail, including garnish, ice and glassware.
- Your recipe — be as creative as you like but please ensure that El Dorado Rum is the main spirit in your recipe. Once submitted, the recipe can’t be modified.
- Post the image of your cocktail to your Instagram account (must be a public account), tagging @eldoradorums, @expeditiontrade, @eldoradoaustralia and using the hashtag #eldoradorumheritage2025.

- The competition is open to all individuals who are of legal drinking age or older at the time of entry and who can demonstrate to be working at a restaurant or bar.
- The regional finalists will be announced on 26 February 2025.
PRIZES
- Australian Champion will win an all expense paid trip to Guyana to participate in the Global Finals from 7 – 12 April 2025 (excluding travel days).
- The Global Champion will win $5000 USD & a selection of rare El Dorado rums.
KEY DATES
- Australian Final: 4 March 2025 to be held at Brix Distillers, 350 Bourke Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010. Flights and accommodation will be paid for all interstate finalists.
- Global Final: 7th – 12th April 2025 (excluding travel days) in Guyana.
- Participants must be available for these dates and hold a valid passport.
