One of the most significant creative challenges was balancing realistic rendering with graphic elements that felt inherently tied to the game’s identity. This was achieved by leveraging mono-shader characters and dioramas, combined with realistic rendering and VFX.
Technically, animating the hexagonal structures to form coherent images and scenes required meticulous planning, particularly in sequences like the comet’s transition from subtle to highly graphic and abstract. During the cataclysm, the hexagonal structures reconfigured dynamically, demanding complex mechanical animations to depict the terraforming process.
